I DON’T WANT TO SAY GOODBYE TO YOU…

It is hard to believe that today was the final day of Main Session.  What a beautiful five weeks we have had under Old Bald! Instead of normal activities, the girls were able to go back to their cabins and begin the packing process after breakfast.  From the roof of Wit’s

OUR HEARTS WILL TURN BACK TO MERRIE-WOODE…

Music blasted from the docks all day today as Proficiency Day was underway. This day is dedicated to the girls who are finishing up levels in the boating program. Canoes and kayaks were maneuvering expertly about as girls showed off the skills they have been learning all summer.

SOMEWHERE THAT’S GREEN…

An alien plant came to life once again on the Castle stage tonight as brilliantly costumed performers danced and sang the story of the Little Shop of Horrors. The show, which is a musical spoof on old black and white sci-fi movies, is set in a rough urban downtown district. It is

I WISH FOR YOU MY FRIEND, THIS HAPPINESS THAT I’VE FOUND…

I was fully prepared for the rain shower that rolled in over Old Bald first thing this morning.  I’ve wizened up and am the proud new owner of the sleek black CMW rain jackets that are now sold in the stock shop!  Luckily the rain stopped right before breakfast, the blue skies

REMEMBER THE DAYS WE SPENT HERE…

What a day today has been!  Girls are finishing projects, passing levels, and completing goals that they set at the beginning of the session.  Any goal, no matter how big or small, is important at camp.  An opportunity for High Ropes was announced at Castle this morning, which is

CAME A VISION OF HOLY GRAIL…

I still haven’t figured out this whole sleep in thing on Sundays.  Right when I am getting in the swing of waking up at 8:00 in the morning, the bell rings at 8:30.  I don’t get how these campers and counselors get used to it!  You would think that living here the whole summer

THIS IS WHAT DREAMS ARE MADE OF

The rain was still trickling down here at camp when I woke up, but today was still fantastic! I joined some of the girls in King Arthur’s Court to play games like kickball and four square to stay dry. In case you were wondering, my kickball team won, and the day’s fun only

OH, WHAT A RAIN THAT WOULD BE!

This morning, I woke up to the sound of rain and was suddenly thankful for my warm hiding spot in my favorite tree. After waving goodbye to a river trip being sent out to the Upper French Broad, I made my way down to the Dining Hall to grab a quick bite to eat. Eggs and sausage
