Going once, going twice… sold!
I awoke to an oddly familiar smell; I followed my nose down to the Waterfall Field to find it filled with llamas! Mark, the Llama Man, had brought my friends to visit all of the Nature classes today. The campers learned all about caring for the llamas and marched them all over camp! I followed them up past the Tajar building where I stopped in to see what Sewing and Knitting were up to. In Sewing, campers were learning how to thread their machines. They were really getting the hang of it! Across the room, the Knitting students were learning to cast-on their first stitches. Since I was already feeling artistic, I stopped into the Arts and Crafts class, where they were making cards to send to friends. Down below Arts and Crafts, campers were learning to make pinch pots in Ceramics. I went down to the Waterfall Field for one more visit with my Llama friends just in time to see girls completing the High Ropes Course! That zip-line sure looks like a lot of fun. In the afternoon, I was swinging in the trees near Chapel when I heard cheering from the Archery Field. Someone had made a bull’s-eye! When it came time for Evening Program, the girls gathered in Castle for the big Auction. Every cabin was allotted one thousand “dollars” to bid on fun events like a free E for inspection, a trip to Grandpa’s Ice Cream, and waffles with the Dunns! I’m going to have to find a way to sneak into that one!
