Sunshine and Happiness
Wow! Merrie-Woode girls excel in just about everything. After tonight’s Talent Show, there’s not much you can convince me they can’t do! From hoola hooping to dancing queens, the night was full of talent, confidence, and grace! We also had many original song and dance performances, which both took our breath away and filled our hearts so much.
Before we got to our awesome Evening Program, we had an even better day. Our friends at the ACA (American Camp Association) stopped by to say hi and checked things out. I followed them around camp for a bit (secretly, of course) and they had nothing but nice things to say about Merrie-Woode. I am so happy to call this place Home!
The dances in Hip Hop and Tap are so stinking cute. They have so much sass and fierceness and fabulousness for such little gals. Each time I stop by, they have even more of the dance ready to show me. I’ll be Tajar Tapping in my dreams tonight.
We also (hooray!) had river trips go out. These girls absolutely crushed it on the rapids and paddled their hearts out. I bet they’re tired, but lucky for them, a little birdie told me it’s Sleep In tomorrow. Now, this may be a Tajar Tale, but I think after the long week we’ve had, we all’ve wanted to hit snooze a time or two! I’ll be back to confirm if this was true tomorrow.
In drama today, the girls circled around the piano and warmed up their voices to some rather seventeen hundreds sounding show tunes. They sounded excellent, might I add.
On the lake today, we had a decent amount of wind, which, as Captain Doug said, “is awesome because it’s not even Windsday yet!” Maybe tomorrow will bring more puns and more wind, we’ll have to see!
And, what’s a day in camp without some sort of Mountaineering adventure? They headed out to the Nature Center in Highlands to check out the animals, plants, and learn new things about the world around us!
From all of us here in Camp, goodnight!
