Super Saturday!
The session is officially past the halfway mark, and classes are finishing up projects, preparing for final performances, and getting in the last of their fun before everyone packs their bags to leave on Wednesday. In the morning, I visited a Ceramics class that was glazing pinch pot animals to be fired in the Kiln for the last time of the summer. Afterwards, I made my way over to the boat docks to see a Sailing class catch the wind on Lake Fairfield.
In the afternoon, I stopped by King Arthur’s Court to say hello to the Tumbling classes that were finishing up their routines in anticipation of final shows. Afterwards, I hopped on over to the Barn to see the talented riders on their trusted steeds. Up by the covered arena, I ran into a Photography class that was out and about taking pictures of the miniature donkeys. I really covered a lot of ground today, and saw so many happy campers!
Tonight’s Evening Program was Castle Revue, in which the Play, Musical Theatre, and various Dance classes performed their final shows. It was an evening to remember, featuring a selection from the book Caps for Sale performed by the Play class and a very large puppet, and the song “Oh the Thinks You Can Think” from Suessical the Musical performed by the Musical Theatre class. The contemporary, jazz, hip-hop, and tap dance classes also performed their beautiful pieces. What a great way to end the day—good music and good entertainment.
Awaiting an encore,
Tajar
